Chickpeas are the typical product of cicerale, became slow food from july 2012. The event features the traditional recipes of the prized legume with the pleasant background of folk music. Main dish of the festival are the "lagane", the special pasta with highly prized and tasty chickpeas rather smaller and darker than normal.

The event aims to offer to the many visitors the best of 'gastronomy, crafts, culture and folklore of the place. Within the exhibition there are also interesting art exhibitions, appointments with the culture to rediscover the trades of yesteryear and the history of the village through stories, proverbs and verses of storytellers
