On the traces of Saint Nile: SAN MAURO LA BRUCA e SAN NAZARIO

Seized to the strata of a green hill, to 450 meters around on the level of the sea, surrounded from secular woods of chestnut trees, is the inhabited area of St. Mauro La Bruca, small Municipality of the Low Cilento, with its fraction St. Nazario that has a particular importance for its abbey which the cult of St. Nile is tied up. In 940 in fact he stops in this beautiful place in escape from Calabria.
Here he wore the monachal suit beginning a splendid story of asceticism and attivistico fervor.

  participants' meeting in the Chili square in front of the House of the Mayor. Departure for San Mauro La Bruca on a great tourism bus. Visit of the fraction of San Nazario and its abbey, the mills and the naturalistic path around the river.
• 1 p.m.:
  lunch in restaurant tasting typical products of the territory.
• 3 p.m:
  Visit of the village of San Mauro La Bruca.
• 5.30 p.m.:
