The water's path: OLD ROSCIGNO and S. ANGELO A FASANELLA

An excursion entirely focused on the theme of the water: Old Roscigno, a village threatened by that same element that has allowed the aggregation of it.
forced abandonment that has accelerated its degrade, allowing the survival of an unchanged urbanistic structure from over one century, where the water continuous to flow among the alleys, penetrating in the houses and articulating the time; St. Angel to Fasanella, a village interested by the karst phenomenon, responsible of the formation of the famous Cave of St. Michael Archangel, already inhabited in prehistoric age and occupied in the XI century by a religious community of Benedictines.
Here you can admire the chapel of the Immaculate, fourteenth-century frescos, sculptures and abbot's Caracciolo rests.

TIMING:

• 10 a.m.:
  departure from Agropoli in bus GT (the participants' meeting is in Chili Square)
• 11 a.m.:
  arrival to Old Roscigno and visit of the ancient village and its Museum.
• 1 p.m.:
  lunch in restaurant tasting typical products of the territory.
• 3 p.m.:
  departure for St. Angel to Fasanella. Visit of its famous Cave.
• 6.30 p.m.:
  reentry.
